Meet Rachael, our stylist ambassador for 2024

Posted on April 24, 2024

Meet Rachael from Champagne Sil Vous Plait, style extraordinaire and Triumph ambassador for 2024. Rachael first came into our lives when she tagged us as a true lover of our bras. We quickly fell in love with her helpful styling videos and commitment to making women feel amazing. We are so excited to have Rachael styling our campaign shoots throughout the year while supporting the Triumph community to find their perfect fit.

Tell us about your journey to becoming a stylist.

"I have always loved fashion, beauty, interiors etc. I remember having an exercise book full of clothing designs I’d drawn when I was in primary school. When my eldest was very small I started a clothing company to cater for curvy and busty women, I specialised in t-shirts as you wouldn’t believe how difficult a cute (slogan back then) or basic t-shirt can be to find when you’re busty. Instagram was just gaining momentum and as a business I had a presence, and interacted with bloggers and regular women who would post their OOTD (outfits of the day) and it inspired me to start a secret personal account (@champagnesilvousplait_) to be able to post my OOTDs that didn’t feature my own label. It quickly gained traction and very much wasn’t secret anymore and after finding out we were finally pregnant with our youngest I decided to close down my label so I could focus on being a mum. I kept my Instagram page and shared a variety of fashion, beauty and lifestyle, but always knew once both boys were settled into school that I would look at pursuing my dream of styling and helping women feel amazing every day in a more structured and personal way outside of Instagram."

What do you love about styling women and helping them to feel good about themselves?

"I know what it’s like to not feel good in your own body and clothes, and to not know how to fix that. Spoiler alert: it doesn’t have to be hitting a certain size or weight. Through my background and years of dressing my own changing shape and size (pregnancy, kids, COVID etc) I’ve learnt a lot of valuable information that now comes naturally to me and I want to be able to impart it to as many ladies as I can! Every body deserves to feel amazing every single day."

What does it mean to you to partner with Triumph?

"It has been a pinch me moment to partner with a brand I have known, trusted and purchased from for over a decade. I’ve been everything from a DD to G in my adult life and Triumph has always been a bra that has not only fit well and worn well, but has lovely larger cup size styles and you don’t feel the need to tear off your body the minute you walk in the door!"

How important is it to get your bra and briefs right for your outfit?

"Without the correct foundation, a building will crumble. Your outfit is that building. If you’re not wearing well fitting, appropriate for the outfit underwear and bras then the fit and sit of your items is not going to look great. So many women are wearing the wrong size bra or briefs from when their (now school age kids) were babies, which is why I always recommend to my styling clients to visit a Triumph store or book an online fitting prior to our shop, or I can take them."

What are your favourite Triumph pieces?

"This is hard! As I have an F cup I have always loved the Sheer Minimisers however with the release of the Signature Sheer Minimisers and Harmony Spotlight Minimisers they’ve been bumped a few down the list. I also really love the Essential Lace Balconette Bra which comes in gorgeous colours and is a fun and sexy set. BUT I’ve also worn the Triaction Control Lite Minimiser Sports Bra for the last ten years too (I replace them!) and it’s so supportive for a larger bust when working out, walking or running around with the kids."

You have styled two Triumph shoots with us now. How have you found it?

"Refreshing. I have such pride for being a small part of such incredibly inclusive shoots. I have moments during the days where I get a bit emotional, because I’m seeing such gorgeous models of all ages, sizes and backgrounds and I know how young Rachael would have benefited so greatly from seeing myself represented in the media. It gives me such hope for the young women today, and even older women who still have the trauma of the 00s and diet culture, to have so much more body acceptance and neutrality because natural bodies are being represented and celebrated."
